Cooperative Learning

Cooperative Learning

For us, cooperative learning is not just a method, but a basic pedagogical attitude.
We humans are social beings and learn at school in a social environment, as part of a group and in a trusting and stimulating learning atmosphere.
In a narrower sense, cooperative learning is learning together in a small group - those who learn together come up with new ideas together.
Clear rules for cooperation help the children to work together fairly and productively, while leaving room for creativity. Communication between the pupils plays a central role in this - here too, they are supported by rules discussed in advance and the accompanying teachers to ensure that the joint work is a success for everyone.
In this way, cooperative learning promotes both communicative and social skills: respecting others, respecting other opinions but also contributing your own ideas and taking responsibility in the group.
Communication and cooperation are key skills - far beyond school.
Social education also includes the joint resolution of conflicts, in which self-awareness and awareness of others are practiced and creative, constructive solution strategies are developed.
