The daily programme
The early morning is reserved for Montessori free work. The children choose for themselves which topics and materials they want to work with and what they want to learn. In concrete terms this means that each child studies according to his or her interests, at his or her individual learning and working speed and in a freely chosen social form (individual, partner or group work). The children are accompanied by experienced teachers. Afterwards the children study in an interdisciplinary and project-oriented way, i.e. subject-specific contents are worked on with reference to whatever main topic is the current focus.
The children eat breakfast together and have the opportunity to exercise in the fresh air during several breaks. At 1.30 p.m. the core school time ends and the full day's programme begins.
After a freshly cooked lunch together and another break, there is quiet time for schoolwork, followed by various musical, creative and sporting club activities.
