Musical and cultural education
Creativity, space for imagination and expression is a source of joy in life for everyone. Children have great individual resources and potential in the creative field. Especially in today's (mass) media-driven environment, in which children are constantly exposed to a multitude of stimuli, immersion in their own concrete creative processes is of special importance.
Artistic expression also helps to promote attention and concentration. Last but not least, working with drawing, painting and handicraft materials promotes not only creativity but also gross and fine motor skills. Talent and gifts are discovered and encouraged, and at the same time shared projects promote togetherness.
The conscious experience of the cyclical processes of nature, as well as the exploration of myths and fairy tales, offer many opportunities to stimulate and develop the imagination. In addition to music and art activities, the AIS children regularly take part in theatre projects (stage play), and the afternoon club programme includes a variety of creative activities.
A special feature is our painting space, which is inspired by Arno Stern's "Malspiel": a room where children can freely create with liquid colours. What is special is that there are neither specific themes nor comments, evaluations or questions about the picture. The children are free to develop their own themes and picture content.
